What ESCO helped the client achieve
Resilience and Reliability
Five HV substations with rationalised switchgear and arc-flash containment were installed to reduce risk and maintenance requirements. An existing substation was upgraded to manage increased loads, while a real-time power management system with automatic load shedding and UPS integration ensured continuous supply and enhance reliability across 109,000m² of retail space.
Enhanced Experience
Everett Smith delivered electrical upgrades that enhanced both aesthetics and functionality. Feature lighting transformed retail spaces into bright and vibrant environments, while advanced back-of-house systems improved efficiency for tenants. Integrated car park management streamlined traffic flow and upgraded security and access controls created a safer and more convenient experience for all visitors.
Integrated Solutions
By replacing the proposed third HV feeder with an advanced Power Management Control System, the client gained a fully integrated platform for power, lighting, security, and communications. This solution eliminated ongoing maintenance requirements, reduced upfront costs by more than $1.3 million, and streamlined operations through real-time monitoring and control.
Everett Smith’s Solution
Everett Smith played a pivotal role in the Karrinyup Shopping Centre Redevelopment, delivering critical infrastructure upgrades while the centre remained fully operational and meeting all milestones under an accelerated program. By ensuring seamless delivery in a live environment, this redevelopment has transformed the centre into a vibrant retail and lifestyle destination attracting 13.4 million visitors annually.
