Modern Learning Hub
Working with Lendlease, Everett Smith delivered the electrical and communications services upgrade for Curtin University's TL Robertson Library redevelopment. The works included new electrical infrastructure, communications, security and CCTV, fire detection, and lighting throughout the refurbished library.
Secure Connectivity
Everett Smith delivered the library's ICT and security infrastructure, including structured cabling, fibre backbone, wireless access points, IP CCTV, electronic access control and interfaces with Curtin's existing campus systems.
Energy & Sustainability
The electrical works included a 108 kW rooftop solar PV system, energy metering integrated with Curtin's iEnergy system and high-efficiency LED lighting. These systems formed part of the wider redevelopment, which achieved a 6 Star Green Star Design rating.
Everett Smith’s Solution
Everett Smith delivered the electrical, communications and associated services for the redevelopment of Curtin University’s TL Robertson Library. The project involved extensive upgrades to the existing building, including HV and LV infrastructure, lighting, communications, security, fire systems and solar PV.
The works were staged around an operational university environment, including the HV/LV cutover and integration with existing Curtin campus systems. The completed redevelopment received the 2024 UDIA WA Award for Excellence in Social & Community Infrastructure
